Atomic Jesus Supernaturalist

The Ultimate Singularity
Cheap talk diminishes the virtue of human speech.  Suppose all the people of every tongue and dialect spoken in the Earth each decided to act in unison with all the other citizens of Earth and "do the right thing."  Would the concerted action of those billions of Souls be enough to make the world good?

Better, maybe.  But not good"There is none good but God."  Spiritual facts (like the singular goodness of God Alone) are absolute.  Humanity's ideas of "goodness" are shifty, slippery, relativistic.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."  It's an old saying and it's a fact.  There are people everywhere who "hope and pray" for a better world, a peaceful world.  Hoping and praying are nice sentiments.  Politicians might describe these sentiments in order to excite their constituents.  Articulated political sentiment makes up a large part of the cheap talk fouling the atmosphere in today's world.

Until Jesus of Nazareth walked through this world, the definition of "power" that most people understood was embodied in the authority of kings and Caesars.  Wizards, sorcerers, soothsayers, and magicians employed by wealthy monarchs were important, too.  In the days before Jesus, pagan witchery and demon-worship were common forms of "religion."  God began putting an end to pagan-worship with the adventure of His Christ, Jesus of Nazareth.  Jesus put the magicians, the sorcerers, the wizards, witches, demon-worshippers, and every earthly monarch in their place.  The fourth chapter of Mark tells the tale of Jesus sleeping soundly on board a ship while a big storm was raging:

"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full of water.  And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?  And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

The reason "they feared exceedingly" is because they were afraid Jesus would whop some of that big mojo on them and they would be wandering around out in the field eating bugs and barking at the moon like dogs.  Modern citizens hardly appreciate how different the world has been since the advent of Christ.  His Spirit is present in the Earth now.

Though some people might believe otherwise The Spirit of Christ keeps many evil forces at bay; forces that not-so-long-ago had a great deal more leeway in this world than they do now.  Lucifer, the evil archangel in God's court, is no figment of imagination.  Jesus was not talking to Himself during those forty days He spent fasting in the desert where He was "tempted of the devil."

Notice that Jesus "rebuked" the wind and the sea.  He did nothing but speak.  No funny business of any kind.  His word was enough.  Since those days (not so long ago) when Jesus walked the Earth, life has been quite different.  The oppression that once covered the Earth like a dark, wet blanket was lifted by the work Jesus did:  "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

That's what Jesus did and everyone in this world today benefits from His work.  His Presence continues here on Earth through the Office of His Spirit.  Politicians and others make this life out to be a hard-time world of dog-eat-dog.  Life on Earth is far from perfect but it is in the process of being perfected.

The main issues of life are spiritual issues.  Science, philosophy, and religion try to make "being alive" a material experience with spiritual overtones.  In fact, it's the exact opposite:  what we have here is a spiritual experience with material overtones.

God the Father ordained His Christ in the human form of Jesus.  In 2000 short years, people have begun to think and speak of God's Christ as but one of many, many "religious" leaders.  The Christ of God is no leader of religion.  He is the King of kings and the LORD of lords.  He, alone, ordains the regenerative path of Life in this present world of Death.  To say otherwise is a lie.

In a hot debate with the religious leaders of old Jerusalem, the LORD Christ cranked up the heat with this assessment of them and their arguments:  "You are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own.  He is a liar, and the father of it."

Every living Soul in this old world is perfectly free to think and speak however they choose.  Denial of spiritual, supernatural facts is a choice.  Denying spiritual facts that appear hard to understand and difficult to believe does not change the facts.  But it certainly does affect the Earth-bound Soul who makes denial of spiritual facts their choice of choices.

The fact of God-man Christ is easy to say and hard to believe.  God the Father made His Word flesh.  Whatever a "word" actually is in God's Eternal Kingdom is infinitely more vital and effective than any (and all) of the words ever spoken or written by the tongues and hands of mankind.  The kindred flesh of all humanity and the living Word of God were made one.  The creative and forever young Word of God became a singularity according to the will of the Father.  That unity of being, that singularity of being and purpose has a name.  The name is Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus of Nazareth is the ultimate singularity.  Speaking of Himself as He knew Himself to be, Jesus declared it plainly enough:  "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

People often make the mistake of comparing their own inadequacies to the audacious declarations Jesus made about His own unimpeachable impeccability.  It is a fact that Jesus of Nazareth was (and is) all-man-all-God-all-at-once-all-the-time.  No other Soul of any race or culture in the history of mankind has ever possessed the power and authority to do and say the things that Jesus of Nazareth said and did.

The maddening (to some) paradox of Christ-in-the-flesh is that in His flesh He is kin to all men (male and female).  But at the same time, Jesus is superior to all men in Spirit and in truth.  The suffering He endured through His kindred flesh entitles Him (and no other deity) to help the rest of us with the spiritual and material burdens of this old world; burdens so heavy, the concerted action of the whole human race wouldn't be strong enough to carry them even if all people could be coaxed in to co-operating in unison.

People who deny the truth of Christ's words with words of their own are setting themselves up for some hard, hard times.  The bizarre world of today is a direct result of humanity's near-universal disregard for the way, the life, and the truth of God in Christ.
