The Supernaturalist

Not so long ago in a place not too far away, the living God established the Institution of Matrimony between the male and female subjects of His newfangled adam species.  Since then, this peculiar species has wandered through the fields of Earth.  In his wanderings, mankind has altered the state of matrimony.  This God-given Institution which should be a boon to mankind has become more than anything another bizarre enterprise of humanistic desire.

The Institution of Matrimony is a spiritual edifice of purely supernatural construction.  In His ordination of Matrimony, God said (Genesis chapter two, verse twenty-four) that the flesh of the matrimonially bound male and female would become "one flesh."  The supernatural implications of this fact have been downplayed in human society.  People have a hard time accepting their status as creatures of spiritual origin.

In His manifestation as the Christ of God in Jesus of Nazareth, God Himself said these shocking words:  "For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven." Mark, chapter 12, verse 25.  Concerning Matrimony, the implications of this most recent prophecy are presently mysterious and immeasurable.  But the present mystery in no way disqualifies the factual certainty of the coming revelation.

Throughout every Earthly culture of humankind, there are myriad rituals of marriage.  Seen only as an instrument of human convenience, the Institution of Matrimony is now, more than ever, a vehicle of temporal wealth, power, and comfort.  And yet, it is unquestionable that those Souls (male and female of the adam species) who now enjoy the supernatural benefits of the living God's "one flesh" marriage are embarked on a journey toward a State-of-Being that is presently unimaginable.  The Government of this State is certainly foretold in the prophecies of Isaiah.  The final Constitution of Government is reported faithfully by verses six and seven in chapter nine of that worthy book.
