The Living Soul in Good Light and Evil Darkness
The living Soul is a supernatural personality that God created. At present, God sheathes the Soul in a body of atomic flesh. Even though the Soul is the ground and source of human consciousness, the living Soul cannot be analyzed or categorized by human processes of measurement and investigation.
Some people say the Soul is a poetic term signifying poetic things that have no real place within the impenetrably complex web of atomic structures of the so-called "natural world." But in fact, the atomic "natural world" is no less supernatural than the living Soul. God created them both.
The Christ-man, a.k.a. Jesus of Nazareth made ample demonstration of His God-given Sovereignty over all things, atomic and otherwise. He commanded the wind and the waves: "Peace. Be still!" He raised the dead: "Lazarus! Come forth!" He defied the evil prince of this world and for His Perfect Defiance of Evil, Jesus of Nazareth has received "a name which is above every name."
In His Name, the yearning Soul is given both the right and the responsibility to ask God for the kind of help only God can give: "Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the LORD of hosts."
Today there are multitudes of people who refuse to even think that there actually is a supernatural war going on between the forces of Good Light and Evil Darkness. Not-believing spiritual facts changes only the Soul who is engaged in the folly of not-believing that, not so long ago, God walked the earth in the form of a man.
In His final remarks and Commands to the people of Earth, Jesus of Nazareth said, "If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you do, because he lives with you now and later will be in you."
Those words have been on the record and available for approximately 2000 years. Those words contain the portent of a sea-change in the character of human nature. The change is spiritual. The change is supernatural. It is a change that God Alone makes, one Soul at a time, "not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the LORD of hosts."
By His Spirit, God keeps this atomic universe spinning. The living Soul on planet Earth is a part of that universe.
