Atomic Jesus Supernaturalist
Liberty & The Veil of Death
History proves that mankind has a unique appreciation for an elusive thing that men call "liberty." Animals of the field are ruled by mute instinct. Mankind is the only species that produces individuals who are willing to cross great oceans and die in battle for "the cause of liberty and freedom."
Jesus of Nazareth delivered a declaration that settles the hash of human violence and bloodshed caused by mankind's far-from-perfect understanding of its own deep desire for "liberty and freedom."
Here is the scene described and the words that Jesus declared in the synagogue
one Sabbath-day not so long ago: So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as
His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to
read. The scroll containing the messages of Isaiah the prophet was handed
to him, and he unrolled the scroll to the place where it says: "The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to
the captives and recovery of sight to the blind: to set at liberty those who are
oppressed; to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat
down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were
fastened on him. And He said to them, "Today this Scripture is
fulfilled in your hearing." Luke, chapter
four, verse eighteen
The living God made a dramatic demonstration of His supreme authority in the earthly manifestation of Himself known as the Christ-man, Jesus of Nazareth. This manifestation of God-as-a-man entails certain aspects of Liberty that go far beyond humanistic notions of "freedom." Freedom is a function of Liberty. God commands the use of His Liberty as He will.
God-in-the-Christ-man made an assumption-shattering example of His Liberating authority and power through His Command of every spiritual and material aspect of living on planet Earth. Christ-man-Jesus concluded His 1st tour of duty by overcoming the supernatural power of Death.
Death is not a natural experience. Death is a supernatural event that cannot be overcome by human effort. In His Christ-manifestation, God Himself made a way for the living Soul to pass, unharmed, through the death-veil of mortal flesh. The work God accomplished through Jesus of Nazareth on planet Earth established "the liberty by which Christ has made us free." Galatians, chapter five, verse one.
Human flesh on Earth-today is the same as human flesh was when Christ walked the streets of Jerusalem. Flesh is flesh. Comprehension of spiritual things does not exist in the flesh. Discernment of spiritual things is a God-given power of the living Soul: "Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the LORD of hosts." Without guidance and regenerative enlightenment from God through His Christ-Spirit, it is impossible for a Soul-in-flesh to understand that God Himself walked the Earth in the form of a man and abides here now in the supernatural Being of His Spirit.
Difficulties in the realm of human understanding do not alter the veracity of supernatural facts. Today, it is no easier for a living Soul-in-flesh to comprehend the inevitable certainty of its relationship to God-through-Christ than it was when the Christ-man first walked on Earth. Even so, in His Liberty more human individuals than ever are now free to choose whether they will believe it---or not.
