Let the dead bury the dead.  Follow me.
The mortal body of flesh is a temporary headquarters for the living Soul.  And while each body-and-Soul on Earth is unique in character, there can be virtually no comparison between the characteristics of the Soul and the flesh.  The Soul is an eternal life-form.  The body of flesh is not.

People say, "The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."  The weakness of flesh is a symptom of the supernatural Curse now imposed upon all the flesh in the world:  the Curse of Death.  Some people have some understanding of what's happening to the living Soul under this Curse.  Some people don't.  Jesus of Nazareth made a clean sweep of the matter with this crisp epigram:  "Let the dead bury the dead.  Follow me."

There are lots of people who choose to embrace the terrific lie which makes Jesus out to be a "leader of religion;" an ordinary man; a man who could not possibly have the power and authority that He Himself says He has.  People who think and believe that Jesus of Nazareth is not the Christ of God are the-dead-who-bury-the-dead.

Embracing lies spoken by ordinary men against the Christ of God is more deadly to the Soul than cyanide is to the body.  Anyway, the body of flesh is already as good as dead.  The stretch of time between the cradle and the grave gives every living Soul plenty of opportunity to get familiar with the absolute inevitability of Death.

One and only one Person who ever lived in this world overcame the enemy of Death.  That Person is  Jesus of Nazareth.  Rather than accept this truth, most people choose to live in a shadow-world and refuse the authority and generosity of God in Christ.

It's easy and convenient to say that doubts about Jesus are reasonable.  Especially so, considering the corruption, excess, and perversion of so-called "christianity."  Know this:  the "christianity" of this old world is one thing and the eternal Christ of God is another.  In one of the kindest and most gentle offers ever made by anyone, Jesus said, "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.  I will send you my Spirit, even the Spirit of truth.  He will lead you into all truth and show you things to come."

The supernatural Curse of Death pronounced by God over all flesh is not being lifted or mitigated in the least by any earthly organization of so-called "christianity."  That unimaginably delicate work is accomplished "not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit says the LORD of hosts."

There is no way of telling how or why some grasp the essential simplicity of the present situation.  Or why others insist on complicating matters with questions, refutations, philosophy, etc.  There's always plenty of room for doubt about anything people say or do.  Jesus of Nazareth walked among the people doing nothing but good.  The people tried to kill Him.  Jesus made a demonstration of His power over Death.

Lots of people everywhere think the tale of Jesus' "coming back from the dead" is a myth or a fairy-tale.    It's precisely that kind of thinking which gives grim standing to the truth of the cryptic admonition referenced earlier:  "Let the dead bury the dead.  Follow me."
